Here's a little bit of what the little monster has been up to lately. . .
-I took Fisher into work for a photo shoot for a couple of cards that they needed young looking babies that could stand up. He fit the criteria, little did we know that they also need to stand still and be cooperative. His first shot was a bare body except for a plastic grass skirt. They just needed a shot of him standing from behind which sounds really easy-not so much. What happens when you take a diaper off a 1 yr old? That’s right I’m holding him in his place and all of the sudden I felt a warm spot on my leg and sure enough Fisher is peeing all over the floor. . . awesome. They the grass skirt keep getting stuck up his butt from the front so I had to keep digging them out of his clenched little cheeks. The next card was going to a cowboy card that moves around in the inside to music so we had to get a bunch of shots of his limbs so that they could photo shop it all together. Again, not the easiest thing to do with a kids who wants nothing more than to walk around. This series of shots took over an hour of me sweating through trying to hold him in place and get him to hold his arm like this, dangle his legs like that, etc. He got to dress up in a little cowgirl outfit too which was fun to see what he would have looked like if he was a girl. Needless to say, I don’t think that they will be inviting us back for the a shoot in the near future. The photographer sent me an e-mail saying that Fisher was very cute and did an awesome job but when I responded that I think he was being a little too nice and that I understood that he was a little stubborn and had a mind of his own, he re-phrased and told me that Fisher was very cute and I did an awesome job at trying to control his stubbornness. I don’t know where he gets his stubbornness :)
-He loves to dance right now and spin himself in circles until he gets so dizzy that he falls down and then he just lays there for a little while.
-He points at everything and grunts like he’s trying to tell us something but he just can’t get the words out.
-He plays peek-a-boo and waves hello and good-bye all the time. We went to Target and the trip lasted a little long so I was feeding him dinner in the foodcourt area and everyone that came and went through the doors he waved to. It was really cute.
-He’ll bring you books and then just walk away. He doesn’t want to waste the time to sit and read the book but he’ll bring them all to you anyways.
-He only wants to play in places that he’s not supposed to play like behind the couch by the shelves, behind the chair by the outlet and wires, and in the mulch/pond/rocks in the backyard. Outside play time is not so relaxing at our house. For some reason he plays with the toys at the sitters, so much that he hasn't wanted to stop when I get there lately.
-His favorite things to eat right now are fruits and veggies, which is really nice but hard to get anything else in him. He throws the grilled cheese sandwich or chicken on the floor for the dogs. Can you imagine how happy they are?
-He still likes to carry something in his hand at all times. It doesn’t matter what it is as long as he can whack you with it. I went to pick him up one afternoon and he was chasing after one of the older boys with a big foam finger, and the boy looked scared. Most of the time the object is something harder like a golf club or drumstick and he hits you in the head and collarbone repeatedly.
I will post some pics later! peace out
